Positives :

I was very proud of the team and how competitive they were in the field considering we had 3 players making debuts all of whom put in a great effort. Against a side which bowled very accurately we took more wickets 6 v 5, I saw some great stops in the field by George and John

Good defensive batting by Tom Moxon who in 1 over played 4 super forward defensive shots to 4 balls that would have hit the stumps.

Excellent bowling by James , Robert , Jessica and William who was unfortunate not to take a wicket and only conceded 6 runs in 3 overs

Areas to work on :

Extras (Wides and No Balls) , HH were very accurate with only 6 extras ( 3 wides ) where as Brixworth conceded 31 extras through wides and no balls , as you can see 25 runs difference would have made the score very close

Non striker backing up and running between the wickets. It is very important that every ball the non striker walks out with the bowler and is looking for the single also when running clear communication about how many you are running as well as looking for any over throws or mis fields

Batting , knowing when to defend and when to attack. If a ball is a "good length" and on the stumps then the decision must be made quickly to play straight and defend. We will work on technique again this Friday

Thank yous

Thanks to all for attending and supporting with special thanks to Arthur for scoring and helping the team before they came out to field and bat.
