| Match Report | Monday 1st May 6pm start, 20 overs per side, HOME v Overstone Brixworth won the toss and elected to bat. Accurate quick bowling by Overstone kept the scoring rate low. Opener George Patton top scoring with 11, however no other batter scored above 2. Overstone scored the 35 required runs in 8 overs for the loss of 3 wickets with one of the Overstone opening batters 25 not out. Excellent quick accurate bowling by Jaden Malcolm who conceded only 4 runs in 3 overs taking 2 wickets. RESULT : Overstone won by 7 wickets Positives : An excellent last wicket partnership by Bethany Coulton and Jessica Wright. The team could have been bowled out in 15 overs but the girls kept the bowlers out with great defence and added valuable runs until finally being dismissed in the final over. Fine bowling by Jaden Malcolm who bowled accurately on off stump and a good length. Good fielding with everyone talking, backing up and chasing the ball down in the field. An excellent run out by George Patten, although spilling the catch he showed great awareness to throw down the stumps with a direct hit. Areas to work on : Batting, work on defence and how to bat against quicker bowling.
