| Match Report | An excellent start to the season, winning the first game. Brixworth lost the toss and batted first, scoring 245 after 16 overs. All contributed well - first pair George Darlington and Kyran Yeomans were solid, as were second pair Owen MItchell and Tom Stanbridge and third pair Ethan Maher and John Magson. This gave a platform for the last pair of captain Toby Haxby and Will Barritt to score 38 with Will contributing 25. Bowling and fielding was excellent with John Magson excellent in his first game as wicketkeeper. Bowling was tight with very few wides and Tom taking a good catch. 3 overs of good legspin from Owen and consistent seam bowling from the rest of the bowlers restricted cogenhoe to 220 to complete the victory. A good start to the season! |
