BCC has a thriving junior section that runs on Fridays, its held at Dallas Burston Ground just inside the village and membership opens in January 2023. We offer cricket to years 1 to 10 in age group squads of u7/9/11/131/15. Numbers are limited to 160 across the squads, the sessions are for boys and girls although the girls have a specific "Girls Only" session on Thursday nights for u11/13/15 year olds.

There is a busy social scene on Fridays with the bar open from 5.30 and a BBQ and Ice Cream stall in the warmer months, all parents and relatives are welcome to attend and socialise,  due to the licensing laws applicable only alcohol purchased on site is allowed, the money generated on Fridays keeps membership fees at a reasonable level.

If you can volunteer to help coach a group you can "Jump the queue" as volunteers are a integral part of the club. (You will be held to any committment!!)

 

Membership fees this year are  £85 per year including £10 parental membership. 

Under 7 – none required, but kids with their own plastic bats are welcome to bring them.

Under 9 - none required, but kids with their own plastic bats are welcome to bring them.

Under 10 - Not compulsary - but players will need their own abdo guard

Under 11 – Not compulsory and the club will provide kit for hardball matches but at this age if kids are keen, they will certainly want you to buy them their own kit and it would fit better if it’s bought for them.

Under 13 –nets practice will happen at this age group, we do have some club kit  to use so personal kit is required but does not have to be purchased until you know your child is serious. They do need their own Abdo guard and suitable underwear to keep them in place.

Under 15 – Personal kit required as at this age as it needs to fit properly.

 

Women and girls on Thursdays

Women and girls wanting to play hardball and go in the nets for hardball sessions can use club kit but again personal kit will fit better
